I am not completely hopeless

Thud: 15 scenes added to the synopsis. Fourteen to go.

I don't know why this seemed less impossible today than it has every day since the end of October.

I still don't like writing this thing. Subtle hints and foreshadowing that will eventually cause major plot points to make sense don't translate well when compressing a scene into a paragraph. There's a love interest subplot that is almost entirely subtle bits, and I can't see putting something like "while they are visiting the abandoned palace, A's hand brushes against B's" into the summary. There are things that are only implied, ever, that I have a choice between stating outright and leaving out entirely. And I don't know how I'm going to keep it under 5000 words, even being good.

There are published authors on my friends list. Any of y'all got advice for a poor first-time synopsis writer?
