I read it and loved it and sought out your lj to tell you so. I do hope that the rumor that you are writing a fuller length novel about Asenath is correct, because I would buy that book in a hot minute. (Twila, who apparently reads some of the folks on your friends list, so hopes this is an ok fannish squee drive-by.)
Fannish squee drive-by totally okay! I have not yet gotten so many squees as to be bored with them. (The woman who is bored with squees is bored with life?)
I know it was a typo, but the idea of a story from Asenath Whately's point of view... wow. That would be really cool, and probably a more depressing variety of Lovecraft deconstruction than I have the stomach to write. But I am, in fact, working on an Aphra novel, which I should now go back to plotting.
Oh dear. That WAS a typo! *face is red* This is what I get for posting in between reading galleys.
But Aphra is a really fine character, and I look forward to seeing what her future holds! I will definitely be sending folks over to Tor to read the story, too.
