Five Things Make a Small Post
Dec. 20th, 2010 01:17 am1) I am home from visiting S's family. I love my in-laws, but am warm for the first time in two days.
2) While in Ann Arbor, I found a place that will sell quail eggs to civilians. I seem to be picking up my Technocracy game character's hobby of finding awesome ingredients and then researching what to do with them. Best candidate so far--miniature eggs benedict on home-made croutons.
3) I have given in to pressure and joined the collective--I now have a Facebook page under my professorial name. This basically exists so that I can check off the "understands social media" box on forms. Impressions so far: the privacy settings are as evil as everyone says, and the interface reminds me a lot of Clippy The Cheerful Winking Paper Clip.
4) From my early Christmas gifts, I have stripey Garcia socks and a Tesla token!
5) There is a total lunar eclipse on fortonight Monday night. Nothing visible yet; I think I'll stay up just a little longer. At 1 AM, I cannot read clearly; this is a good sign that I should go to bed.
